Planning to visit Kainchi Dham & Nainital tomorrow (15 Aug) and renting a scooty from Kathgodam.

Are rental scooties currently allowed around Nainital?

I know they may not be allowed on Mall Road, but can I park the scooty outside Mall Road, walk up via the steps, explore Nainital, then take the scooty and go towards Bhimtal/Kainchi Dham?

Also, how are the weather and road conditions right now? Any landslide, rockfall, waterlogging or special restrictions for 15–16 Aug?

Any good options to get a cab/taxi for a full day to visit places in Mussoorie? What is the normal rate? We are 4 people.

I am not considering a scooty rental due to a bad experience in Rishikesh where I had to pay ₹20,000 after damage by an unknown person.
