I’ve read a lot of different things about safety and criminal activity in Dehradun. I want to solo travel here as an English white female (I don’t speak Hindi)
How safe is it? Could I realistically do this on my own or would you recommend against it
Also if anyone teaches Hindi online to English speakers please let me know

I’m planing to move to Dehradun with my dog. I have a car and looking for houses that’s pet friendly and has parking and in a safe location. My husband works in a different city close by but can’t move. I have to move for better work exposure. This way I can still remain close to my husband and not compromise on career. Which area should I look for? I prefer gyms and swimming pool close by and maybe walking path to walk my dog.
Do people in their 30s and early 40s miss social gatherings with people whom they can share their life experiences with patience, talks of struggles, overcome of challenges, philosophy, spirituality, relationships etc..

I have been living in Dehradun for the last 2 decades and that too all alone. For the last 20 years I have been eating food from outside, and have tried almost all the restaurants or kitchens.
As I eat very less spicy and prefer less oily homemade style food, it was a little disappointing for me as I was not able to find any perfect spot. Then I found "Nom Nom kitchen" near GEU Clement town. I am in love with that food. Must try.

Ideally looking for:
- 2 BHK, or a 1 BHK with a spacious hall
- Good views / scenic surroundings 🌄
- Convenient for daily travel to the city centre
- Preferably in an area that’s well connected and travel-friendly

I live in a pretty big colony in Rajpur Road, unfortunately due to various issues the guard of the colony was recently fired by the residents, and the position has been vacant, leaving the colony unguarded for quiet a while. Recently there have been two events within a week, one of my neighbours was leaving for their everyday pursuits early in the morning (6-7 AM), took their activa outside and parked it outside the gate and went inside to grab some stuff, got caught up in something and when she went outside some parts of her scooty (apparently side mirrors, silencer or some shit) were stolen within the 30 minute window in which she was busy. CCTV showed two men on a hike with number plate removed, wearing masks, the police said they can’t take action until faces are revealed or number plate is visible
Second was two similar looking people on the same model of the bike were trying to BREAK INTO a house at 6-7 AM, luckily the family was up because it was school hours and they called the police, but the thieves had left after failing to force the gate open, this was met with the same response from the police
What the fuck is dehradun police doing ???
I want them both adopted asap if you want you can take them both , they play alot together and they are older than 1 month now
