Any Sarojini equivalent in Dehradun?

Hey yall, I am new in Dehradun and kinda lost, I was thinking about getting myself some clothes but being a college student the budget is kinda tight. So I was wondering if there are any sarojini nagar (Delhi) equivalent places in Dehradun where I could get decent clothes at low rates. Would appreciate any reccomendations.

Hostel reviews required (Quick please)

I am finally in bidholi and visited a few hostels with my father (Stag, Sarthak, Sona, etc), and my father is really interested in Sarthak. Could anyone guide me as to if it's a genuinely good one or just trying to be goody two shoes? Also reviews on stag and sona would be appreciated.

Need help regarding dates and hostel

I'll be joining UPES bidholi campus soon but I live quite far away from Dehradun so going there before joining just to find a decent hostel is quite difficult for me. I've heard the session will likely begin from the first week of August, will it be possible to find decent enough hostel near UPES if I reach dehradun a week prior to campus reporting date? Also if anyone has hostel reccomendations I'd really appreciate them.

Preferably 3-4 sharing with mess/food included at an affordable price.

Also what is the last date to submit the balance fee for the semester? I've applied for a student loan and it might take some time.

I've asked my counsellor for the details but I keep getting vague answers.

Looking for hostels near Bidholi campus (Energy acres)

As the title reads, will be joining UPES this year for Petroleum Engineering UG and hence looking for hostels near the campus at an affordable rate with decent crowd. Can anyone from the college reccomend me some good ones? I don't mind the fun loving folks but would preferably want someone who is actually interested in studies as well as fun at the same time.

The Uni hostel is WAY too expensive (around 16,500/month) considering that's the cheapest one available.

Would really appreciate reccomendations and am also open for DMs if anyone wants.

As UPESEAT is now over and admissions will start in a few weeks time what are some advices that seniors would give to the freshers? I mean regarding admissions process, joining process, hostel reccomendations for different schools (both the institutes' and private), life at UPES, proffesors, curriculum and extracurriculars and so on.

Any and all advice is appreciated
