Mom won't let me see my girlfriend how do I convince her [18Fx18F]
I'm 18(f), I got a girlfriend in college, the school year ended recently, and I really wanna visit her. She lives 4 hours away and her parents even invited me over for a long weekend. Every time I mention this to my mom she gets defensive and tells me that she wants to spend time with me since I've been gone so long and we have limited time to hang out because will be leaving soon to take care of my grandparents this doesn't seem like a issue to me because it's just 3 days max plus she is at work all week anyways so idk what quality time we are getting in anyways. Mom also says she doesn't know my girlfriend's parents so I can't go I feel like this could be remedied with a voice call though. I love my mother but also this seems a bit possessive like yeah I missed mom while I was away at college but the idea that I won't be able to see my gf for possibly months is making me feel really hopeless since I've never had to deal with this long-distance stuff before. She doesn't have a car so she can't visit me. I don't even have any friends back home to fill the time with so I just feel like I'm waiting to go back to college to see my friends and my gf.
