Is this a carpenter ant or an odorous house ant?
This past week, we've been seeing these ants in our kitchen. We live in Ontario, Canada, in a suburban area. Every other day, we've found 1-3 ants, and just today I've found 4. We've really only seen them on the granite counters around our stove, and I tracked this one for a while until it crawled into the crack between the stove and the counters. I'm having a hard time telling if it's a carpenter ant, and since there isn't much wood in our kitchen, I don't know where any water damage could be. Should I set down some Terro Ant Baits preemptively?
