We use firmographic flat files to prioritize accounts based on headcount changes. The idea is simple: company starts growing, we reach out. In practice it keeps falling apart because by the time the data lands, the headcount signals are already stale. Crustdata is our current provider and it's the same story we've seen elsewhere.

Is this just the nature of flat file delivery or are some providers genuinely better at keeping up? Would love to hear from anyone who has found something that actually works for this kind of use case.

We've been evaluating data providers for a while now and hitting a wall so hoping this community has some experience to share.

Our requirements are pretty specific:
- Daily data updates (not weekly, definitely not monthly)
- People data like profiles, job changes, contact info
- Company data like firmographics, headcount, funding
- Delivered as flat file dumps

The challenge we keep running into is that a lot of providers claim fresh or real-time data in their marketing, but the actual update cadence tells a different story. Crustdata was the latest example - monthly flat file updates despite the real-time positioning.

Would like to hear from anyone who's gone through a similar evaluation. What providers did you land on, and how did the data freshness hold up in practice?

We're on the hunt for a data provider for people and company data that updates their data daily.

We recently tried Crustdata that market themselves as a real-time data provider but after digging in, we found their flat files are only updated on a monthly basis and it doesn't work for our use case.

What we're looking for:
- People data (profiles, job changes, contact info, etc)
- Company data (firmographics, headcount, funding, etc)
- Daily updates and delivery
- Flat file dumps over API access

Has anyone had good experiences with similar providers? Appreciate any recs.
