PSA from a doctor about Proton Pump Inhibitors
I have horrible allergies. I’ve done five years of allergy shots. The entire time, I’ve been taking pantoprazole for acid reflux. On a whim, I weaned myself off of the pantoprazole and almost immediately, a chronic cough and most of my congestion resolved.
I obviously still have some congestion, but it is a dramatic improvement on just famotidine.
I only post this because I know there are many people who have multifactorial cough and congestion and globus sensation.
Just watch out for the PPI’s. Thanks.
