First, way to go buccos! Secondly, did anyone hear Bob Walk (I think it was him, 1020 KDKA broadcast) defending how much better Skenes start was? 4.1 innings, 3 earned runs 4 walks and 5k’s. That’s not a good start. He kept on about his fastball being back to his season average. Yeah, so? If this what we are calling improvement, the bar is really low. 100% grasping at straws for a pitcher with decreased velocity, increased ERA, increased walk rate, increased WHIP, and a pitcher who no longer puts fear in MLB hitters. I know the pirates pay Bob, but damn man, call it what it is.

I just did a front end suspension rebuild on my 2014 charger. UCA, lower tension arm, inner/outer tie rod ends, sway bar links, quick struts, lower ball joint, and even new calipers and pads. I knew the left caliper was bad, as there was tons of brake dust and it was constantly getting hotter than the other side, and there was considerably more wear on the left pads.

In the swap, I found one inner tie rod bent, one lower ball joint shot, and the other tie rod end connector jiggling like jello. So no matter what, I was going to do this work. The only problem is, my pulling right on hard braking persists. Should I change my attention to the rear brakes now? I’m reading elsewhere this could cause my issue, and just wanted to ask other opinions/experiences. Thanks in advance.

Hey all. I’ve been struggling with this. I replaced a 4.3 uconnect with an 8.4 and cannot get the microphone to work. I bought an aftermarket one because MY CAR DOES NOT HAVE THE MICROPHONE IN THE REARVIEW MIRROR. I’ve used alfaobd to enable the microphone. I’ve plugged the microphone into the hands free module (as my 8.4 does not have Bluetooth) and into the back of the head unit. Neither works. I can hear the caller, but they can’t hear me. The mute is NOT on. Any guidance is appreciated. Please don’t tell me there’s a microphone in my rearview. There’s not.

2014 charger pursuit.

I put a factory backup cam in my 2014 charger. Used Alfaobd to activate it. It’s been fine for about a week. Now, all of a sudden, the image is reversed. It’s not upside down, but what is on the left shows on the right, and vice-Versa. Btw. NONE of the resets, hard or soft, do anything with this system. It will not reset. WTF IS GOING ON???

Since I bought my 2014 pursuit back in February, I’ve been able to pull off some little victories. There are still things to overcome, but I’m really happy with some of these things:

1. Added CAI. I know. Low hanging fruit.
2. Added Diablo 91 tune just in time for gas to go to record highs. I’d have done 93 but it’s not easy to find here. No shits given to gas prices
3. Changed sway bar links and bushings. Still have some noise in the front.
4. Swapped from 4.3 to 8.4 uconnect. A couple of you here were really helpful. Thank you
5. Added Bluetooth module. Still figuring out my microphone issue tho (I think my mic is bad) There was no mic already in the car
6. Added factory backup camera
7. Unlocked SRT pages with Alfaobd.

I know none of these are huge, but together have made my car more fun.

Some things I’m going to do soon are rebuild the front calipers, investigate the front end clunking more (I might take it to a shop), refinish a set of challenger wheels I have, and figure out WTF is going on with this Bluetooth microphone.

With a little luck I’ll get rid of the 22 degree issue on the climate control, but I haven’t installed the humidity sensor. It doesn’t bother me that much.

Sorry if this is boring, but I’ve fallen in love with this car. I’m looking at front door interior panels and even seats, as I want it to be the best I can make it.

Compared to you guys that have installed superchargers and built 500+ hp beasts in a 5.7, I know this is child’s play. :)

Is anyone out there adept at using this computer based abomination? I have a 2014 charger pursuit, and some things have worked, and others have not. I absolutely CANNOT do a proxy alignment BECAUSE THE OPTION DOESN’T EXIST IN MY MENU!!!

What’s your worst game of the year, so far? Today I did a Pony league tournament game that lasted almost 3 hours. Played 8 innings. Score ended with home team walking it off. Final was 15-14. I was hit a half dozen times in the chest protector, thigh, and arm. The catchers were not good. How about you guys?

I installed the 8.4 in place of an old 4.3. I have Alfaobd. I was able to get a lot of stuff working. I had to install a Bluetooth module. It connects, and I can hear callers, but they can’t hear me. I purchased and installed a microphone, which plugged into the Bluetooth module, went through Alfaobd and activated the microphone. No change. I then plugged the microphone into the back of the radio, with no change. I decided to put it back into the Bluetooth module. Can anyone offer any guidance? Thank you so much

Why does is seem there is no comprehensive easy to follow instructions on using this? I’m desperately trying to upgrade from a 4.3 screen to the 8.4, and have the 22 degree issue with the manual up/down temp buttons not working, only the ones on the touchscreen. Do I need a new BCM? I’m frustrated as hell. What BCM do I need? If I have to pull the head unit out to get the manufacture date I will, but I’d rather not.

Help me here guys.

2014 pursuit charger. Swapped an 8.4 uconnect in place of factory 4.3. I have the 22 degree issue on the display and the temp up and down physical buttons by the fan control do not work. I can change temps on the touch screen. I tried a different AC control module, but it didn’t help. All I would like is for the physical buttons to work too. Any help is appreciated

Pony rules baseball. One out. Runners on 2nd and 3rd (was previously 1st and second, runners moved up on wild pitch). My plate partner and I signaled our coverages, which at that point did not include infield fly (not applicable after the wild pitch). Anywhoooooo……. Pop up to second base. Can of corn. My partner declares “infield fly! Batter is out!” I’m like… oh shit. If the 2nd baseman makes the easy catch, it’s no big deal. Of course, he botches it. Two runners score.

I put the batter/runner on 1st as the infield fly was not in force (he never left first base after the play). The runs scored, and I let them stand.

There was some groaning, but this is a rather friendly in house league, and after my explanation they let it go.

Any thoughts? Should batter/runner been out as declared by plate umpire? I feel it’s on the defense to know the situation, but the ump did declare the infield fly. The plate guy felt terrible after, but the way the teams reacted helped us move on quickly.

Ok guys. I’m completely stumped here. I have a 14 pursuit with the super basic 4.3 uconnect system. I upgraded the speakers, and it really helped. I tried an Amazon special that included the bezel, and my god what a failure. I’m from the days where connecting a stereo was power, speakers, and maybe an amplifier. Oh, and the layout of the interior from the former police setup makes it challenging as well. This combo with the climate controls just sucks. Where should I look for a reasonably priced upgrade? I’d like bluetooth, gps, and maybe a backup camera with a helluva lot better screen than this 4.3”. Should I check out Best Buy? A local stereo shop? (I’m south of Pittsburgh Pa). Thank you in advance for indulging an older gentleman in this frustrating journey.
