Need help fixing Qanba Obsidian 1 Options/Start button (PCB / dead trace issue?)

Hey everyone,

I need some help troubleshooting a dead Options/Start button on my Qanba Obsidian 1. I need a permanent physical fix for this rather than a software workaround.

The Problem: > Everything on the stick works flawlessly—all face buttons, joystick inputs, side LEDs, and mode switches are 100% fine. However, the Options/Start button is completely dead.

What I’ve already checked/tried:

Verified the Tournament Lock switch is set to UNLOCKED (and toggled it back and forth to ensure the internal slider contact isn't stuck).

Opened the stick up, removed the top auxiliary control strip PCB, and thoroughly cleaned the copper maze contacts and the black conductive silicone rubber pad with 90%+ Isopropyl Alcohol.

Reseated the internal cables.

Despite cleaning, the Start button still refuses to register, so I suspect a dead trace on that top panel sub-PCB or a cracked solder joint.

Because I need this to function natively on a hardware level without using software remapping, I'm looking to bypass that top strip if needed.

My Questions for the Modders Here:

Does anyone have a pinout diagram for the main motherboard harness so I can figure out exactly which lines are the Options (ST/OPT) signal and Ground (GND)?

If the top sub-board trace is permanently dead, what is the cleanest way to hardwire a dedicated external 24mm arcade button directly into the main wiring loom to bypass it?

I've attached photos of the stick's interior layout. Any advice on which specific wires to tap or bridge would be massively appreciated. Thanks!
