AITA for being angry at my dad for bringing my stepbrother and stepmom to my award thing
I (16M) got a medal and a piece of paper for something I did at an athletics club. My dad told me he was going to show up and then take me to burger king or wherever I wanted to go. He gave the impression it was just him who was going to be there. He showed up with my stepmom and little stepbrother and he was talking to them the whole time. Afterwards we went to KFC (it was KFC in the end) it was just a mess, he was talking to them the whole time again and my stepbrother kept butting in and being loud as shit.
we got home and I was pissed off at my dad and I asked him why he even brought them and he got all huffy with me and said that’s a normal thing to do, bringing your family members. I said it just ruined it and he could’ve just made time for me instead of making another thing a “whole family thing”. He wants to make a good impression on my stepmom because they’re newly (somewhat) married but it just ruined it ffs. Am I the asshole for being angry he brought them
