I know everybody keeps saying “where was Celeste parents at “ “her parents are at fault it’s their fault”. Why the fuck is nobody asking where are David’s parents? What did they know? How did they raise such a sick man y’all are still victim blaming regardless . Y’all should blame David’s parents more than her parents . The same way people are gonna say, David’s parents aren’t responsible for his actions the same Celeste parents weren’t either.

! and I already know people are gonna say she was younger and he was older and she was a minor. No shit that’s a fact it’s also a fact She ran away multiple times her mom would even sleep in her room so she wouldn’t run away. They filed multiple missing child reports I don’t know why people are acting like they’ve never met a troubled teenager or young kid who doesn’t listen to what their parents say

Celeste was a victim, and nothing about her choices excuses what David did. But she was not the only teenager in this situation whose parents had a responsibility to notice and intervene. David was also a minor when he first became involved with her, so it is unfair to scrutinize Celeste’s parents relentlessly while treating David’s parents as completely irrelevant. He did not become a creep the instant he turned 18, and the adults around him should also be part of the conversation.
