It’s one thing to read about these historical pieces and to see them in person. What happened to the gold-smithing craft in the Philippines? Was this something that we continued to do in the colonial era and thereafter?

These are pieces from the Gold of Ancestors exhibit in the Ayala Museum.

A new park development project by the QC LGU along the QC side of Santolan Road corner Ortigas Ave. Although the construction looks finished, and has a target date of March 31, the park doesn’t seem to be open yet.

I managed to see the project while still under construction in Feb 2024, and it’s come along way since. Although it’s not technically part of San Juan, i’m glad to see more open spaces and better walkability in and around the city.

The river itself still smells bad though.

Spotted these new waiting sheds for bus commuters along Ortigas Ave. and Santolan road. Since we have limited access to the LRT/MRT lines here in San Juan, it’s nice to see developments in public transport infrastructure. Thoughts?
