quick faq on spacemate rd1 pro power, display modes, and the smart display.

we noticed a lot of good technical questions from the community since the spacemate rd1 pro 15 in 1 launched. here is a quick faq to help clarify a few things before people decide if it fits their setup.

first, power. the dock comes with a 180w gan power adapter in the box and supports up to 160w total output across connected devices.

second, the host cable matters. please use the included full featured usb c host cable to connect your computer to the dock. not every usb c cable can handle power, data, and video at the same time.

third, display modes. for windows systems, the dock supports mst (multi stream transport), meaning you can get dual extended displays running at up to 4k 60hz. please remember that macos supports one extended screen or mirrored dual screens.

fourth, the top magnetic wireless charger. the qi2.2 standard delivers 25w fast charging for iphone 16 and 17, and 15w for iphone 12, 13, 14, and 15 series. for other iphones and android phones, you will need to attach a metal ring or use a magnetic case to get the magnetic wireless charging to work.the front smart display shows port status, charging power, and safety alerts.

drop any other technical questions below and we will try to clarify them.

Quick tip on getting the right fit with your MC2 clips

Seen a few comments lately about the MC2 clips feeling a bit loose for some of u. Just wanted to drop a quick troubleshooting guide to help u get a solid fit.

First up is finding ur size. They ship with the M size cushions already on there but u get L and XL in the box too. If they feel loose u should swap to the larger ones to get more grip. Also ur left and right ears might actually need different sizes so test them both out.

Next is how u wear them. Make sure u check the L and R letters on the buds so u have the right one for each ear. U want the C bridge part sitting pretty much parallel to the ground. Make sure the speaker unit (Acoustic Pod) points right at ur ear canal with the button facing up. U can wiggle them up or down a tiny bit until they feel secure. Just a heads up that they might shift a little if u are moving around a lot putting on a mask or messing with ur hair and that is pretty normal.

One last thing is keeping them clean. If the silicone gets oily from ur skin they will start slipping. Wiping the cushions and cleaning ur ears every couple of weeks helps a ton with grip.

Dropping two quick guides below. "MC2 Ergonomic Wear Instructions" is for checking ur fit and "How to Install Ear Cushions" shows u how to swap the silicone parts safely. Let me know if u guys need help getting them set up.

Noticing some confusion on our open ear clips. Here is a quick breakdown

Seen a bunch of questions lately about how all our different clip models compare. Dropping a full spec sheet here "Baseus Open Ear Spec Sheet" so you can look at them side by side.

Short version is if you want max comfort and a huge battery look at the MC2. It has SGS and TUV comfort certs extra swapable cushion sizes and goes for 55 hours. If you are mainly focused on audio the XC1 has the Bose tuning. And the MC2 Air is a solid pick if you are on a lower budget and just want to try out a Baseus open ear with good overall performance.

Let me know if you guys need me to clear up any specific specs.

Official Update: Baseus Spacemate RD1 Pro 15 in 1 is officially available today.

Hello everyone. Thank you to those who have been asking about the next Spacemate release. As you can see in the attached poster the RD1 Pro 15 in 1 is officially available starting today. We wanted to share a few more hardware details. The most noticeable change is the built in magnetic wireless charger on top for your phone. We also expanded the overall port layout so you can plug in more external drives and accessories at the same time. It still handles dual extended monitors for Windows setups and passes power through to keep your laptop charged. The physical screen blanking button and the front LED status display from the previous model are also included. You can find it on our official web store right now.

[Deep Dive] Why local storage is making a comeback with Baseus X1 Pro

If you look at the last few decades of home security storage has gone through a massive cycle. Early systems relied on analog signals and VCR tapes which had terrible quality and were hard to search. Then we moved to digital recorders that offered better video but required bulky hardware and complex wiring.

Cloud storage became the standard over the last decade because it made remote viewing easy. However users started noticing the downsides over time. People are tired of paying hundreds of dollars in yearly subscriptions and they worry about privacy leaks on company servers.

This is why we focused on local storage combined with modern encryption for the Baseus X1 Pro. The current trend is edge computing where data stays on the device instead of passing through third party servers. The Baseus X1 Pro supports up to 512GB of local space which is plenty for 3K high definition footage. To handle physical security we added AES+RSA hardware level encryption. This means even if someone takes the camera or the card they cannot view anything without your unique digital key.

This design gives the Baseus X1 Pro the convenience of remote access without the monthly fees. We believe home security should not be a recurring bill and users should have total ownership of their own data.

How to optimize your X1 Pro dual lens setup

We get many questions about the best way to set up the dual lenses. Since both cameras rotate left and right independently you can cover a much wider area by staggering their positions. One effective setup is pointing one lens toward the driveway while the other covers the front porch on the opposite side. This horizontal coverage ensures your entire front yard stays visible. How are you positioning your lenses right now? Share your layout or ask any questions below.
