If you look at the last few decades of home security storage has gone through a massive cycle. Early systems relied on analog signals and VCR tapes which had terrible quality and were hard to search. Then we moved to digital recorders that offered better video but required bulky hardware and complex wiring.

Cloud storage became the standard over the last decade because it made remote viewing easy. However users started noticing the downsides over time. People are tired of paying hundreds of dollars in yearly subscriptions and they worry about privacy leaks on company servers.

This is why we focused on local storage combined with modern encryption for the Baseus X1 Pro. The current trend is edge computing where data stays on the device instead of passing through third party servers. The Baseus X1 Pro supports up to 512GB of local space which is plenty for 3K high definition footage. To handle physical security we added AES+RSA hardware level encryption. This means even if someone takes the camera or the card they cannot view anything without your unique digital key.

We get many questions about the best way to set up the dual lenses. Since both cameras rotate left and right independently you can cover a much wider area by staggering their positions. One effective setup is pointing one lens toward the driveway while the other covers the front porch on the opposite side. This horizontal coverage ensures your entire front yard stays visible.
