Baseus Bowie MC2 Open-Ear [Not Air]

I gave in. Steal price imho. This is the better specced mc2 version, not the air. Currently rated the best clip-on earbuds under $100 in scarbir. Also getting rave reviews in yt. Will update this post once I actually get to use the item. 🤘

one week with the spacemate rd1 pro and its magnetic charging panel.

i have been using the baseus spacemate rd1 pro 15 in 1 for a week now as a freelance video editor. my desk used to be a mess of separate chargers for my laptop and phones. the best upgrade for my workflow is the adjustable qi2.2 magnetic charging panel. being able to tilt it from 0 to 80 degrees means i can keep an eye on client messages on my phone without picking it up while cutting video on my main monitors. plus, the smart dynamic power allocation actively routes the 160w output perfectly so my laptop never loses battery during heavy 4k exports. sharing my setup experience for anyone tired of flat charging pads.

MC1 PRO or MC2 AIR

With my budget, I able to choose between BC1, MC1 pro and MC2 AIR.
I have hard time to choose between them, then I choose this 2 with higher IP than BC1.
Now Im stuck , in terms of comfortable, lesser sound leak and feature (dun needed LDAC), which should I choose??

Anyone have this problem before?

UPDATE: Just checked and back to working normal. All activity uploaded to the cloud as well. Could be due to the fact I have a micro SD card in it

Went to check in on my X1 Pro and got this screen. Any idea as to what's up?

moving away from flat hubs to the vertical spacemate rd1 pro tower setup.

as a quantitative trader, my home office relies on multiple screens running constantly. i am replacing my old laptop hub because my monitors sometimes flicker or drop signal during market hours. the new baseus spacemate rd1 pro 15 in 1 caught my attention specifically because it uses an enterprise grade retimer chip. having that pro level signal stability and anti interference is exactly what i need so my charts never drop. on top of that, the interactive smart screen on the front gives real time status and lets you switch modes, which is way more advanced than the basic power lights on other hubs. i just ordered one, hoping to firmly anchor my cables and get rock solid displays. sharing my thoughts for anyone else upgrading their trading setup this month.

A full day at universal studios is way better with a pure wireless battery.

the last time i went to universal studios my phone died before the night shows. i tried using regular magnetic power banks before but they always overheat in the sun and stop charging when i am checking ride times on the park app. i searched around online for a solution and saw the baseus picogo am52 getting really good reviews so i decided to give it a try for my trip this past weekend. it completely fixed my battery issues. the ntc thermal control actually keeps it cool enough to keep charging in the heat. and the difference from standard qi2 packs is the qi2.2 25w speed. it actually charges the phone fast even with the screen on full brightness. the 10000mah capacity easily lasted all day and it is super comfortable to grip in one hand while walking around.

my pre purchase notes on the new spacemate rd1 pro display and charging limits.

i spent the morning digging into the specs of the new baseus spacemate rd1 pro 15 in 1 because i need to upgrade my 3d rendering workstation. i found some unique features that beat the standard docks out there. first, the charging setup is wild. it has a magnetic qi2.2 panel that pulls out and adjusts from 0 to 80 degrees, making it way easier to see my phone than fixed angle chargers. it also uses smart dynamic power allocation to actively balance the 160w output, rather than just a basic mechanical power split. second, for my heavy workloads, they put in graphene cooling materials. my old hubs always overheat and drop connections during renders, so this is a huge plus. lastly, it handles dual 4k 60hz extended screens for windows via mst. sharing this here to help others comparing specs before buying.

Silicone cushion fall off

I've only had my new Baseus XC1 for less than a week, but the silicone air cushion is going to fall off. Has anyone encountered this problem before, or is there any way to fix it?

Got the new MC2 clips. They actually work with my glasses

Snagged the new MC2 clips when they dropped a few days ago. I work at a desk all day and wear thick glasses. Regular earhooks always fight for space with my frames and hurt the back of my ears. These just clip lower down so they completely avoid my glasses. Plus the full silicone covers r super soft. Honestly forgot I had them on after an hour. Audio is solid for my daily podcasts.

the all in one desktop hub is here. looking at the new spacemate rd1 pro 15 in 1 dock.

i am trying to get rid of every single extra cable on my desk. right now i have a hub for my monitors and a separate wireless pad for my phone and it still feels messy. I saw that the new baseus spacemate rd1 pro 15 in 1 just launched recently. it has 15 ports and a built in magnetic wireless charger right on the top. that sounds like exactly what i need to clear the clutter. if i can charge my phone and run my screens from one unit that would be huge for my workspace. is anyone else planning to pick this up?

my favorite thing in my gym bag right now is a magnetic power bank.

i spend a lot of time at the gym and my phone battery always drops fast from streaming music and tracking workouts. i wanted a serious upgrade so i ordered the cabled version of the baseus picogo am52 online for a few specific reasons. first the qi2.2 gives my iphone 17 pro a legit fast charge which is way faster than my old non qi2.2 battery pack. second the 10000mah capacity easily lasts me a full day. third the built in wire means i do not need to pack extra cords and i can actually charge my earbuds at the exact same time my phone is on the magnet. and finally the cable turns into a loop so i can just hang it right on my gym bag instead of digging for it. it is basically the perfect gym setup.

Is it time to let this powerbank go?

It has been a bit swollen for a long time, but I also noticed today that the plastic started cracking on the top, probably from the battery pushing it out.

It's a Baseus 20w 30,000 mAh powerbank, been using it for almost 2.5 years.

Baseus MC2 Vs Baseus XC1

Ordered the Baseus mc2 but still debating as there’s a 50 dollar difference between this and the XC1, I’ve heard the difference is not that much, but any thoughts and help?

quick faq on spacemate rd1 pro power, display modes, and the smart display.

we noticed a lot of good technical questions from the community since the spacemate rd1 pro 15 in 1 launched. here is a quick faq to help clarify a few things before people decide if it fits their setup.

first, power. the dock comes with a 180w gan power adapter in the box and supports up to 160w total output across connected devices.

second, the host cable matters. please use the included full featured usb c host cable to connect your computer to the dock. not every usb c cable can handle power, data, and video at the same time.

third, display modes. for windows systems, the dock supports mst (multi stream transport), meaning you can get dual extended displays running at up to 4k 60hz. please remember that macos supports one extended screen or mirrored dual screens.

fourth, the top magnetic wireless charger. the qi2.2 standard delivers 25w fast charging for iphone 16 and 17, and 15w for iphone 12, 13, 14, and 15 series. for other iphones and android phones, you will need to attach a metal ring or use a magnetic case to get the magnetic wireless charging to work.the front smart display shows port status, charging power, and safety alerts.

drop any other technical questions below and we will try to clarify them.

Took my MC2 on a weekend trip and barely charged it

Just got back from a short trip over the weekend. Grabbed my MC2 clips for the flight and walking around the city. I expected to charge them at least once but didn't even need to. Lots of music and podcasts over 3 days and there was still battery left in the case when I got home. The full silicone covers were surprisingly comfortable too. What open ear clips are u guys using for summer travel?

First week using the Baseus X1 Pro to guard my koi pond area

I recently renovated the koi pond in my yard and finally decided to add a camera. Some of the koi in there cost way more than I want to admit, and right next to it is a small glass room where I keep all the pumps and filters. I mounted a Baseus X1 Pro on the wall between the two areas and have been using it for about a week now. What I like most is that the side by side lenses move completely on their own. I keep the left lens locked on the entrance of the glass room, while the right lens monitors the pond and fence line. A couple nights ago someone stopped outside the fence and the right lens panned over to follow them while the left lens stayed perfectly still on the equipment room. So far it has been a pretty simple way to keep an eye on both areas without putting up another camera. No wiring and no monthly fees is a nice bonus too.

Switched to the MC2 clips cause regular buds were ruining my ears

I had to stop using regular in ears a while back since they make my ear canals itch and hurt after like 30 mins. Decided to grab the MC2 clips mainly because the soft silicone cushions looked really comfortable so I wanted to give them a try. When I opened the box I found out they actually include a few different cushion sizes which is a pretty nice touch. The fit is super gentle with barely any pressure. I wore them all day yesterday without any discomfort and honestly forgot to even take them off. The sound quality is actually better than I expected too.

Is anyone else having issues with Baseus EP10 Pro earbuds?

The earbuds will disconnect and then reset my gesture settings.

Additionally, I believe it twice has depleted my phone battery to 0 instantly.

considering the new spacemate rd1 pro but have a few technical questions.

i saw the baseus spacemate rd1 pro 15 in 1 recently launched. the idea of having a magnetic wireless charger on top to charge my phones and a smart display on the front to show what is connected is pretty interesting. i currently use a windows laptop for work, and i always carry two phones to keep my personal life and work tasks separate. my personal phone is an iphone but my work phone is an android. since i have both on my desk all day, i am trying to figure out a few things from the specs before i buy. will the top charging pad work with my android if i use a magnetic case, or is it strictly for magsafe iphones? also, if i run two monitors from the back hdmi ports, is it really 4k at 60hz on both screens? curious if anyone else is looking at this one too.
