How much of your revenue comes from returning vs new customers?

I've been pretty focused on scaling and bringing in new customers lately, but I'm starting to question whether I'm putting too much attention into acquisition and not enough into the customers I've already got.

I get some repeat purchases, but I don't a strategy for getting people to come back. Most of my effort has gone toward ads, improving conversion rate and getting more first time buyers.

How much of your revenue typically comes from returning customers comparing to new ones? At what point did you start putting more effort into retention (if you did) and what ended up working well for you? Trying to figure out whether I should keep pushing acquisition or start putting more resources into getting existing customers to purchase again.
