Hello all! Today I made a slightly impulsive decision to rescue a pacman frog from FB market place. The picture that was posted on the listing was definitely one they took when they first got him. They were selling him, his tank, and lights for 20$ so that was red flag number one. Red flag number two was when the owner told me "it was my grandkids until they lost interest". Final red flag was when the owner said "it was a spur of the moment grab, and its just a frog its not hard to take care of". They said they got him about 6 months ago, and he was the size of a quarter.

I have quite a bit of experience with reptiles and have been researching White tree frogs for years(don't have any yet). I've done kind of the basic information and will be digging in deeper tonight.

I don't know if something is wrong with him, or if he just looks weird because he seems incredibly skinny? Guy said he just throws 15 crickets in there and let's him at them. He did not say how often he fed him. The water in his bowl was extremely dirty and had what I think was mosquito larva in it. I have dumped it and come tomorrow he should have all new substrate.

Sorry for the long post, but I want to check with the community. How poorly does it seem this baby taken care of? Am I just not use to seeing this age of Pacman? Any advice on safe weight gain?
