HSBC Live+ application rejected due to employment verification mismatch after company acquisition. Any way to appeal?

I recently applied for the HSBC Live+ credit card, and the application was declined because my employment couldn't be verified.

The issue is that my employer has gone through multiple acquisitions and rebranding over the years. As a result:

My official work email uses the current company branding.

My salary slips still show the older legal entity.

Both belong to the same employer, but the names don't match.

I suspect this mismatch caused the employment verification to fail.

Has anyone dealt with something similar?

Is there an email ID or escalation team at HSBC that handles manual verification?

Can I submit additional documents like payslips, employee ID, or an HR confirmation?

Or is the only option to wait and reapply?
