Armaretta - spotted in 2012 in LA (at Arclight Dome movie theater)

I spotted this car in 2012 in Los Angeles, when going to a movie at Arclight Dome movie theater.

I recently found this listing (from 2018) for this exact car for sale! (To be clear - the listing isn't recent -- I just hadn't seen it before.

I marked out the license plate in my photos, but it is the same plate number as this Oddimotive listing which has a detailed history of the car. Thought this group might enjoy it. :-)

World Trade Center Club: Leather Box

I recently was given a box of family keepsakes to sell or donate. This leather box from The World Trade Center Club was one of the items. I thought this group might enjoy seeing it!

The only information I’ve found so far is a blog article from 2019 “The World Trade Center Club” written by a John Delach in his Blog “On The Outside Looking In” dated 2019/09/11 (He has written a few articles every month for the past 13 years(!) - started October 2013.)

It appears that these boxes were gifted to VIP visitors and dignitaries - not offered for retail sale.

Does anyone else have information about The World Trade Center Club?

Excerpt from John Delach’s blog:

“Austin Tobin was the driving force behind the construction of the World Trade Center. As Chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, he envisioned these twin towers to be the centerpiece of international trade. He wanted these towers to be the tallest buildings in the world, but he also wanted a crown jewel to enhance their glory. To fulfill this desire, he commissioned architects to design the World Trade Center Club, his personal gift to power. Located on the 106th and 107th floors of the North Tower, The Club became a magnificent drinking and dining facility with private rooms, fine wine and cigars, with a staff that exuded the proper snobbery of an elite country club. It was home for the three-martini lunch and its men’s room, adorned in pink and white Italian Marble, was so magnificent it could be an appropriate setting for a rock star, if not a national leader, to lie in state. The Club kept its own accounts and neither cash nor credit cards were accepted.

When the press became aware of the privacy and opulence of The Club, all hell broke loose. How could a public agency promote a subsidized private club? Tobin had to pacify the press and politicos and so, at night it became “Windows on the World” the unique public restaurant 107 floors in the air. The NY Times first review read in part: “…as to the quality of the food, you cannot beat the view.

At lunchtime, The Club remained members only. Senior officers in my industry, marine insurance, frequented several private luncheon clubs belonging to one or more. They were swell places to entertain clients, prospects and underwriters while their cost was buried in generous expense accounts.

Spec Sheet 2026 RAV4 All Trims - Quite helpful!

I recently downloaded this handy Spec Sheet as a 21 page PDF from the Toyota website - for the USA. That PDF appears to have vanished from the internet, but I wanted to share it.

Reddit doesn't accept PDF files, so I converted it to 21 individual JPG files.

Pages 1-20 are attached to the main post (maximum # of pages allowed)

Page 21 is attached to a comment.

The chart showing which features are on each Trim/"Grade" starts on Page 5.

I printed this document and keep it with my car manuals. It provided an easy way to read the manuals, too -- I just went down the pages and looked for things that were included in my LE, then looked those features up in the manuals. :-)

Hope this is helpful!

I put flowers in my “basket” 😉 (2026 RAV4 Hybrid LE, Ice Cap)

Since the front of my car looks like a basket, I decided to put some flowers “in” it! 💐 😁. I’m happy with the way it looks!

I posted recently about not liking the white color (but I was in a position where white was the best available choice when I needed to buy it). I still don’t love the color, but I do love driving it and that’s what counts!

Logistics for the license plate: I used the front license plate holder that came with the car (in the spare tire wheel well), purchased the flower license plate on Etsy, and got the gray silicon plate frame/holder on Amazon.

Has anyone else added a decorative license plate to the front of theirs?
