Zebra

Zebra

I saw this one on a wall outside a shop randomly.

I don't see them in the wild much. But these are the most common species in the UK I believe.

Well that's one way to do it I suppose

Is there any purpose to this? I suppose it would be more difficult to climb over.

Rafter Braces Movement

I've just noticed three of my rafter braces have shifted. This is the worst one.

Is it just a case of straitening them up and whacking new tooth nail plates on there?

Should I drive a appropriately sized lag bolt through from underneath to be sure they don't shift again?

Rough Loch Lomond

You'd swear I was lying if I said this is Loch Lomond.

It really is! It looks like the sea!

I didn't realise how quickly the weather can turn here.

It can get very rough!

Glencoe To Fort William In One Day?

I'm wondering if anyone from the East, Edinburgh perhaps.

Has ever got the Fort William Ember Bus that stops at the Glencoe Ski Centre bus stop around 7AM.

Then hiked to Fort William via the last 24 miles of the way?

The return bus leaves Fort William at 20:15.

So that's 24 miles in 13 hours maximum. Around 1200 metres of ascent and 1371 of descent.

Looking at the data of all my previous hikes it should be very possible.

But just wondering if I'm overlooking something?

I'm experienced and very well equipped.

But it's not something I want to get caught out with obviously.

Walkers sick after drinking river water on the West Highland Way - BBC News

I know this has already been discussed. But it keeps happening!

These refill spots need a warning sign or something!
