MBA 2025 Grad Confused: ₹1L Bank PO Job but Feels Like Door-to-Door Sales

Hi everyone, I completed my MBA in 2025 and currently working as a Bank PO in a private bank. I’ve completed around 3 months here, and honestly I’m feeling very confused about my career direction. During joining, the role was explained as operations + sales, but now it’s becoming heavily target-based field sales with pressure for CASA sourcing, funding, and door-to-door acquisition. I’m posted around 500 km away from home and even though the salary is good (around ₹1 lakh/month net), I don’t feel this is something I can see myself doing long term. I’ve realized that I genuinely don’t want to continue in a field sales kind of role, especially where everything depends only on targets and numbers. I can already sense the pressure increasing quarter by quarter, and there’s also a 3-month notice period, so by the time I leave my total experience will be around 6 months as a Bank PO. I’m even thinking whether I should resign without another offer and keep applying side by side, but I’m confused if that would be the right decision this early in my career. Would really appreciate real and practical suggestions from people who have faced similar situations.
