I often hear about off-campus or pooled hiring drives happening at different colleges, training institutes, or company offices in Mumbai, but I usually find out about them only after they’re over.

For people who are actively job hunting in Mumbai:

• Where do you get updates about upcoming walk-in / pooled / off-campus hiring drives?
• Are there any WhatsApp/Telegram groups, LinkedIn pages, websites, or communities that regularly post these?
• Do companies or colleges have any common place where these drives are announced?

I’m specifically looking for drives that freshers can physically attend, rather than just online applications.

I got laid off from a good MNC a while ago. I have 1.3 years of experience, and honestly, when it happened, I initially thought I’d be able to find another job within a reasonable amount of time.

But some time has passed now.

I’ve applied to so many companies, tried referrals, reached out to recruiters/HRs, and applied to roles that seem relevant to my experience. But the frustrating part is that **I haven’t even landed a single interview yet.**

And honestly, it’s getting really depressing. I can’t fully describe how stressful it feels to keep applying and getting almost no positive response.

Sometimes I wonder if my previous CTC is working against me. Maybe some companies see my experience and think my CTC was too high for 1.3 YOE and simply don't respond. And when I apply to companies where the compensation/roles are more aligned with my experience, the competition seems to be on another level.

I have experience in backend/distributed systems, Python, Go, APIs, databases, Kafka, automated testing, and GenAI/LLM applications. I’m also an **immediate joiner and open to opportunities across India.**

If things don’t work out in the next month, I may have to move back home, which is honestly adding to the pressure.

I genuinely don’t know what I’m doing wrong. **Why is the job market so bad right now? Why can’t I even land an interview?

Anyway, if anyone has any advice on what I could improve, knows of a relevant opening, can refer me, or knows a hiring manager/HR who is currently hiring for backend/software/AI roles, I’d be extremely grateful for any help.

What you'll do:

• Manage bookings across our systems and supplier platforms, keeping every detail accurate and up to date
• Price trips accurately and efficiently
• Check booking notes and trip details carefully before confirming, catching errors before they become problems
• Communicate clearly with sales people, suppliers and, when needed, with travellers
• Check and approve supplier invoices
• Track payments, deposits, and balances tied to bookings

What you bring:

• Sharp attention to detail, you catch the small things others miss
• A high bar for accuracy, especially with dates, numbers, and booking details
• Strong written and spoken English since communication is with sales people based internationally and foreign travellers
• Tech-comfortable, able to pick up booking systems and new tools quickly; working knowledge of Excel (basic formulas and formatting)
• An accounting or finance background is a plus, not a requirement

The role:

• 9-hour shifts, rotating morning and afternoon, no night shifts
