Maratha Samrat

today had a kaala mutton thaali, and while the mutton itself was really good, the aalani mutton soup completely stole the show. it was super delicious and easily my favourite part of the entire meal.

the aalani rice with ghee and a little kaala mutton masala made it even better. simple combination, but the flavours worked so well together.

the mutton was nicely cooked, and both the white rassa and red rassa were equally amazing and flavourful. each one had its own distinct taste and complemented the thaali really well.

ended the meal with modak ice cream and ratnagiri ice cream, and both genuinely took us to heaven.
overall, a really satisfying meal, but i would happily return just for that aalani mutton soup.

lush greens and high-rise buildings

been in pune for almost 10 years now, and every monsoon, this green feels so peaceful. the clear skies somehow make everything feel a little better.

it’s a quiet sunday noon. just had a really good cup of coffee, looking at this view and thinking about how, even after trying your best to love someone and giving them everything you can, you still fall short somewhere and make them doubt your intentions.

the problem is, when you genuinely love someone, you don’t want to hurt them. so you stop arguing or trying to explain your side because it eventually starts looking like you only want to prove yourself right. but honestly, it’s not about making the other person feel wrong either.

i think i’ve reached a stage where being alone feels better than unintentionally hurting the people you love. maybe it’s better to maintain some distance, stay by yourself, and find peace on a random sunday noon - with some greens, coffee, and a view like this.
