Best way to break in new vans without them absolutely murdering the back of my heel???

I recently got the news sunflower old skool vans for my birthday and they are eating the skin at the back because they’re digging in so bad.

They’re the same size as my current ones— so I know they fit.

Breaking shoes in sucks sometimes but damn it HURTS.
