Two times, I considered buying the game, and I ended up buying something else. The first time, it was between Death Stranding 2 and Expedition 33, or Death Stranding 2 and Resident Evil Requiem. Both times, I chose the other game. The third time, it was between Silent Hill F and Vampire: The Masquerade, and I finally chose it.After finishing it, I was surprised that I enjoyed Death Stranding 2 more than Resident Evil Requiem.

My thoughts :

I was sad that the game opened with Leo’s death, but the way the people around Sam lied to Sam made me frustrated. Eventually, by the end of the game, when Sam finally accepted Leo’s death, it really hit me. Because I spent part of the game with Leo, it made me feel connected to her again, so no longer hearing her laugh or cry during my playthrough made me feel sad and empty.

Fragile is the true hero of the story.

I enjoyed the new gameplay additions, especially the Magellan. It really felt like a home for Sam.

While I usually hate grinding in games, for some reason, I really enjoyed building roads and connecting facilities. I avoided using the Magellan and mostly walked or drove around. Death Stranding 2’s open world is really amazing.

It took me around 130 hours to get the platinum, and I enjoyed every moment of it.

Overall, I enjoyed Death Stranding 1 more, but this is still a great sequel. I can’t wait for Death Stranding 3.

The last screenshot shows my biggest “WTF” moment in the game. While I was driving through the desert, I saw a white kangaroo, so I stopped by the Pioneer to send it to an animal shelter, only for the Pioneer to send me this… poor little white kangaroo.
