Biphobia in the lesbian community

I'm a lesbian myself, but I'm getting so sick of the bi erasure in lesbian spaces. Bi women were always a part of butch, femme, and stuff communities. They were always right there with us. And it's because of bi women that we have many, many things that we see as queer and liberating today, including pride as a celebration itself! It's ahistorical to say that bi women can't be a part of these identities. And it's also rooted in TERF-ism and political lesbianism. We shouldn't want to perpetuate the things that these terrible people made up!

Did anyone else who was AFAB feel locked out of girlhood and feminity by the women and girls around you?

I suppose I'm just seeing if anyone else felt this way. I always felt like girls and women around me could tell that something was different in me (I'm a lesbian so I wonder if this had something to do with it. Also neurodivergent.) They treated me much differently than they'd treat each other. I never understood this sisterhood thing that everyone always talked about. I never felt it. I wasn't allowed to. And since I felt like I wasn't allowed to be feminine or be a woman, I figured that I must be a man then (lived in a conservative, backwater area and hadn't even really heard or thought about being non-binary.) This obviously wasn't the case and I've now stopped T, but I still feel like there's this secret language that women speak that I don't. And it seems to have nothing to do with being raised as a woman, I know many trans women who also speak this language despite transitioning even sometimes much much later in life. Does anyone else who was AFAB feel like they're not allowed to be a woman too?

Landlord in Berlin, Germany will not accept a new tenant to finish out our lease or sign a new one

Hello,

I'm in Berlin, Germany. The rental situation here sucks and you usually end up with overlapping rents for at least a month when finding a new place. Our leasing company requires a 2 month notice period before we leave, which isn't a problem, we've given that, but they won't let us find them a new tenant to either finish out our lease, sublease to, or to sign a new lease with. This makes no sense as they'd be getting a new person to completely overtake the lease and would get paid either way. This is a fairly normal thing to do in Berlin. Is it legal that they can force us to pay the last two months even though we have someone with perfect credit who can afford it to move in?

Odd question but it has to do with online femme spaces and I'm not sure where else to ask

Hello!

I'm a femme and I am having a hell of a time finding a femme space here. I'm on r/femmelesbians, but so much biphobia, transphobia, and polyphobia exists over there. It feels like the mods are asleep at the wheel and allow all this. It really doesn't feel like a queer space or a safe space. It also feels like it's more feminine lesbians over there rather than femmes. It feels like a lot of them don't know about actual femme/butch culture or anything. Does anyone know of a subreddit that actually has femmes and is for femmes? I find it frustrating that people have seem to think butch = masc and femme = fem. It's so much more than that and I want a space in which I can share that.

New Rule and New Mod! And a question for you!

Hello everyone,

The old mod of the subreddit wanted to retire from modding, so they asked a few of us over at r/crafts to take over! So far, I'm the only one who's come on, so I may need to look for at least one other person to help with the space, though it does seem pretty chill overall. So not too much work to do!

The new rule doesn't really seem to be a new one, per se, just more of a statement of something it seems a lot of users reported anyway, so here it is, no AI please! This includes in writing as well. If you've already made a cool craft, there's no need to cheapen it with AI writing! And, of course AI isn't handmade, so it's not allowed here in any part of a craft.

The other question I have is this one: should we allow 3D printed pieces here? Feel free to vote in the poll and leave comments about your opinion on the 3D printing!
