So my roommate has a 10 year old overweight cat that's just a menace. He swipes at me and I'm legally blind he attacks my young cat and now he's gone from hissing at my service dog to now waiting on the barstool and going at her face.
I put the cat behind a baby gate whilst she was at work and now she's mad because I won't let her interact with the dog, nor let the animals go near her cat and honestly it's safest that way.
I own a Belgian Mallinos and that's why it hasn't resulted in injury but the cat uped the anti by now perching and attacking. I'm fed up I asked her to put him her room durning the day when she isn't home, said no he should get to roam...I wouldn't have minded if he wasn't attacking everyone and thing. I'm half tempted to just buy a crate and kennel her cat if she won't contain it or correct it other than oh no no baby hours after the event or even when it happens in front of her she's unbothered cause nobody got hurt.
Now I've got to keep my animals double gated because she felt that by me putting a gate up means reach over and pet the dog your told not to touch she saw that after I moved the gate from her hallway I moved to block mine off more, but it also blocks her as well.
This is me finally having coming to a stern do something or I will I have epilepsy I can't have my service dog doubled gated cause of an irresponsible woman who won't act to protect her cat from the dog, I've taken numerous measures to accommodate and provide safety and then I'm walking in from taking the dog out to seeing her coo at my cat and try to get the cats to jump the gate. Again putting my animals in harm's way.
My next move is to give formal writing and state if her ESA is acting aggressively towards roommates then we're going to report it, my other roommates not home as much due to being a flight attendant but when she is she also gets attacked by demon kitty.
So am I the jerk for insisting she either contain her animal or make the behavior stop.
