Hi guys!
Before you say anything, yes we’re planning on taking Kenny to a vet if we can’t figure out what’s wrong- but he recently underwent major internal surgery for the removal of a ball stuck in his intestines and a removal of a piece of the intestine itself because it started necrotising. Thankfully we had pet insurance, which covered most (but not all) of the expenses, but we’re hoping this time it’s something maybe we can deal at home- and if it isn’t, vet it is.

This being said, Kenny is a 1 year old staffy/lab mix. I mention his breed (esp Staffy) because I know they’re particularly prone to skin allergies. He’s had bald spots before which we had our vet look at and he fully healed from those (it was mange). Mind you guys this was a really long time ago though, like over 7/8 months ago- we basically had just adopted him.

This time however, he has balding spots (not fully bald but there’s a clear hair loss going on) AND bumpy skin. The bumpy skin is what worries me the most because he’s never had that and it seems real itchy. As you can see from the pics, they basically look like bug bites except they’re very densely concentrated on his shoulder, plus some under his tail near the base/butt, and some more spread out around his belly. I did some research myself and it came down to two options, from my understanding: folliculitis or bug bites (again).

He is on NexGard and topical anti tick/mites medication, he’s due for his next one but we have to stock up.
My questions are: 1) does it look like a bug bite and if so, does anti flea/tick medication help with healing this particular skin issue 2) is there any medication we can buy online or on chewy that can help 3) any other suggestion/input/advice is greatly appreciated.

EDIT 2: I reached out to the volunteer who posted the video and she said that unfortunately they’re unable to arrange transport unless a rescue is involved!! NO TRANSPORT, in person adoption only! She’s also “just” a volunteer so she doesn’t manage adoptions. If you’re interested, email/call the shelter directly!!

Hi guys!
This is my handsome boy who just last night exhibited an interesting behaviour. Like every night, I got into bed and he followed me right away. He’s a nester so he did his sleeping ritual where he’ll mess up the blankets but then he settles down. We also recently got a kitten that he’s absolutely in love with and loves to play with. Kitten was also (briefly) in bed with us and then left. As soon as the cat leaves, my pup starts INTENSELY NIBBLING on my duvet. Like, he’s done that before but just for a few seconds and usually on his paw or body part. Never on fabric.
I did read that when dogs nibble on, and eat fabric is usually a sign their stomachs are really upset and it could be a life or death situation, but he didn’t 1) eat the fabric 2) throw up 3) has good energy and appetite levels - even now (aka following day).

I am just regally confused because LOOK AT HIS HEAD MOVE!! Like, this is an ALL TIME nibbling sesh. Anyone seen their dog do this? Any idea of what it could mean?
