Need Help Finding Good Home for 7-month Old Puppy (NoHo)

Hi everyone!

I always tend to foster pups who need emergency placements, and I am always more than happy to do so, but I can't keep them for very long. I've had this sweet girl for about 3 or so months and have gotten her first shots and dewormer, and she took it like a champ! She is the sweetest, very goofy, loves belly rubs, is crate trained and quiet! She loves to run, too! She has zoomies! I am typing this through tears because I would love to keep her, but I don't have the room or the time. Also my adult dog is super stressed out by her. She's great with other dogs and cats, too, just has a lot of energy and I have a tiny apartment.

My best friend works at East Valley and has told me to take her there, but I can't get myself to do that. I really want to try to find her a home, she deserves it. I just know the shelters are maxed out too, and she is so sweet I can't imagine her being in a stressful environment like that.

If you or someone you know has experience fostering or is looking for a sweet companion, please reach out to me! There will be a rehoming fee (nothing crazy, just enough to make sure she goes to a good home) and lots of questions from me as well! I won't just hand her over to someone I know nothing about. Just to keep her safe, ya know?

Thank you in advance for your advice, kindness, and helpfulness!

P.S. this is very hard for me so please be kind

Just saw a raccoon get ran over going down Mason!

Unfortunately I wanted to help it but obviously that’s pretty dangerous.

Unique menu hacks for In N Out?

I love In N Out but I’m bored of ordering the same items all the time.

I know about the secret menu but is there anything unusual in particular you really recommend?

I was wondering where do i get clean drinking water for filling up my 5 gallons jugs , i want to change my usual primo set up.

Or recommend something else.
Not buying water bottles currently.

Porter Ranch Firework Show

Great show, got a decent spot even though we arrived only 15 minutes before the show started. Luckily found a parking spot by the Nordstrom and got to leave right after the finale, before all the traffic became bad.

Open letter to an idiot

To the person(s) that decided it was a good idea to blast fireworks off in a middle of a street where cars are going by, next to acres of DEAD and DRY brush, cause a fire, and drive off, FUCK YOU.

Best store bought guacamole in the northeast valley?

Our avocados weren't ripe enough yesterday to make homemade guacamole for our July 4 gathering. At the last minute I bought a factory-made brand from El Super and it was really good, but it got me wondering if there's better, in case this happens again. Which store sells the best guac in the Pacoima-San Fernando-Sylmar area?

Fewer fireworks this year?

I live in a fireworks war zone… and although there are still non-stop explosions, its seems like a fraction of what it has been in years prior. Anyone relate ?

ISO women of color to become true besties!

Me and my partner have been living here in Van Nuys for a year and struggling to make friends with other women of color 😭 we are 34 and 35 years old, she's a nurse and I'm a professor. I love to play video games and watch horror movies, and we both enjoy the beach and waterfall hikes!

She's more intorverted but I'm very outgoing so usually I'm the one who makes friends and she tags along for the ride 🤣

Plz reach out if you too are looking for female friends to build a deep bond with :)

“I live in Burbank” vs “I live in the Valley”- an opinion as to why

So I read a post before that Burbank residents don’t say “I live in the valley” or “are too good for the valley” or something to the effect of Burbank doesn’t identify as being in SFV…

After many years, I moved from Burbank to Granada Hills. Here’s 3 reasons why I think Burbank residents don’t really identify as being fully part of “the valley” or just say “I live in Burbank” vs “I live in the Valley”:

  1. it’s its own city and LA people know of the city because of the studios. We say “I’m from Burbank” vs “I’m from the Valley”. People look at me funny when I say “I live in Granada Hills” now cause I know they don’t know where it is so I say “it’s in SFV”
  2. all the shops, lots of jobs, restaurants are there. I rarely ventured out into the SFV for anything. I didn’t know where Granada Hills, or Reseda or Lake Balboa, Porter Ranch, etc. I know Northridge, Woodland Hills, Encino and Studio city. I didn’t have to, almost everything was there or Glendale or go east or south (downtown area)
  3. now that I’m in Granada Hills, I have to drive to different cities for almost anything. Most of the time, just Northridge. But it really opened my eyes of PLAZAs. The SFV is PLAZA town WOW. So I feel that I am a part of San Fernando Valley Proper now. Heck I have to drive to Burbank for restaurants and other things.

I feel like Burbanks don’t mean to be “snobby” or anything like that. I don’t even think they think of themselves in anyway but just normal residents trying to live their lives.

Escaping to the hills for fireworks last night

Since it was so loud around Reseda last night, decided to drive up Reseda Blvd towards the mountains by Reseda Trailhead and just watch the fireworks set off over the valley. Felt a lot more relaxed without worrying when the loud pops would happen. Also couldn't help but put on the opening to Blade Runner while watching the city light up from afar.

Anyone else do this last night? There were lots of cars and people around, so it seems a lot of us had a similar idea.
