Random strong gust of wind then gone
Am i freaking out or was there a random ass 70mph gust of wind that hit at about 2p and then just went back to dead calm in the valley? Im in north hills and it was out of nowhere like 5 fighter jets just flew by at ground level. The trash bins are scattered all over the street now and everything blew over in the backyard

loose german shepherd in northridge
if anyone has lost a dog, saw what looks to be a shepherd running down the street on tampa and halstead at 10:10 pm on 5/20. it had a collar with some sort of red light on it. it was not aggressive but didn’t stop or come near me when i called it

From Calfire’s recent perimeter update of the Sandy Fire, the SSFL is around 3000 feet from the active burn line. How serious of a threat is this with the hazardous materials and soil in that area?
