$50,000 reward. Please help us find the driver responsible for my friend’s fatal hit-and-run in Studio City

Hi everyone. I’m posting because I’m hoping this reaches someone who may have seen something or knows something.

My friend was killed in a hit-and-run on September 22, 2026, at around 7:05 AM near Ventura Blvd and Carpenter Ave in Studio City.

According to LAPD, he was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Ventura Blvd when a dark blue 2004 Honda Odyssey traveling westbound turned left onto Carpenter Ave and collided with him.

The driver left the scene without stopping or rendering aid.

The vehicle was later found abandoned and recovered, but the person who was driving has still not been identified.

My friend left behind his fiancée, family, and friends, and they are desperately looking for answers and hoping the person responsible can be found.
There is currently a $50,000 reward for information that helps identify the driver.

If you were anywhere around Ventura Blvd / Carpenter Ave / Studio City around 7:05 AM on September 22, please think back to that morning. If you have dashcam footage, Ring footage, security-camera footage, or remember seeing the dark blue Honda Odyssey before or after the collision, please contact LAPD.
Even something that seems insignificant could help.

FAFSA Disbursements Fall 2026

Does anyone at ELAC have a rough idea of when FAFSA is being disbursed? For the record, I am attending at ELAC. I know schools have different dates.

Wanted to see if anyone at ELAC knows. Called the financial aid office, but they were closed. Just worried I won’t be able to pay for any books/supplies :(

Any state funded CNA programs in Los Angeles?

Hello! I am looking to get my CNA license but I’m not sure if there are any state funded CNA programs that LA has. I wish I’m able to pay 2k for a program, but I am a student and I don’t have that money to spend unfortunately:(. Has anyone had any experience with state funded programs in LA or knows any SNFs in the area that would provide training and such?
