Eviction notice while 7.5 months pregnant - 70+ applications rejected. New contract with 44% higher rent proposed by landlord 6 days before eviction notice...

My pregnant wife and I have received an eviction notice from our landlord. We asked to terminate the 'ongoing' contract, and our 2 months notice elapsed, plus a month extra given by the landlord.

During that extra month, we explained to him how 70+ applications to new places resulted in no offers and we wanted/needed to stay. We formally retracted our termination request - just to have this recorded.

He has explicitly told me in conversation he wants to use the apartment for Airbnbs.

Landlord drew up a new contract with a 50% rent increase. I declined to sign. He gave a revised one with a 44% increase. I didn't sign.

7 days later we receive the eviction notice (dated 01.05.2026).

We have rented the apartment continuously since June 2025, to this day. We have continued to pay the original rent. My wife is 7.5 months pregnant.

The eviction notice states we have 2 weeks to reply before he begins the eviction (I read chapter 9-7 stating we have 1 month... ?)

Very grateful for any assistance. Seeking professional advice elsewhere too. More details available on request. Thank you!
