Americans doing the Viking row, thoughts?

Look I'm super happy our culture and fans got tons of attention in this World Cup but the Americans claim to be Norwegian because how cool "vikings" are, some of support our team that's okay. But now stealing our Norwegian fans row, that's just disrespectful.

Terrible penalty decision from an England fan

Awful penalty decision for Norway Vs Brazil, great save nonetheless, but there is another angle which shows the defender gets a touch.

Heja Norge!

As a swede it feels like it is pretty common to cheer for Norway. of course there are people that doesn't, but for the most part people do (in my opinion). I've always felt like its the opposite for Norwegians, that people cheering for Sweden are in the minority. Am I wrong?

Dominion of Darkness is an IFstrategy/RPG text game (there are some 2D illustrations) in which the player takes on the role of a Sauron-style Lord of Darkness with the goal of conquering the world. He will carry out his plans by making various decisions. He will build his army and send it into battles, weave intrigues and deceptions, create secret spy networks and sectarian cults, recruit agents and commanders, corrupt representatives of Free Peoples and sow discord among them, collect magical artifacts and perform sinister plots.

Here is the prototype (but in this post I am searching for people to test new, extended and improved version): https://adeptus7.itch.io/dominion

I am looking for people eager to help with playtesting - especially fluent in English. You will play at least once (one gameplay lasts about 1-1,5 h, because game is very non-linear and supposed to be be replayble), send me Your opinion, information about possible bugs, some details about stats achieved during it.

If You are interested, please write comment here or just send me Your email on chat.

PS. If You don't believe that game exists and think that this is some scam, here is one of the reviews of the prototype:

And here is fansong made by one of the players: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mPcsUonuyo

Seats for the game???

Hi! Anywhere in Oslo rn where we can sit to watch the game? 😭 we’re in Domkirke and there’s absolutely no where to sit. Yes, we should’ve booked in advance but in my defense, I unexpectedly got time off today 😭 my MIL says she also wants a place w a nice vibe (so not a super empty place or a place that’s super full 💀)

Pretty Sure the controversial "Americans doing Row Chant" was misleading/semi-fake

Did some sleuthing, and I'm not 100%, but located the video to Dallas where Norway played Ivory Coast.

First Clue: The claim that after a US victory and the match is over that the host got a (probably drunken) crowd to all sit down and then taught them the Norwegian word for "row" (without anyone asking why they just didn't say "row") and then they all did the chant.

Second Clue: There is hardly ANYONE wearing USA apparel. A few flags spotted.

Final Clue: The location is Dallas, and after the USA vs. Bosnia match at 8:07pm it would have still been light as sunset is at 8:39pm.

Conclusion: While not 100%, this was a watch party in Dallas for the Norwegian vs Ivory Coast match (not USA vs Bosnia) and the host taught them the Norwegian chat so they could all have a good time.

school question

I’m a Norwegian American who finished highschool in America, and is now living in Norway. They don’t accept my American diploma because it’s missing naturfag, samfunnsfag, norsk 1 and 2. Is it possible for me to just take private online classes for those courses and get my diploma ?

What’s the best way to ship your stuff from USA to Norway?

Hello, we are moving from Houston, TX to Norway. We wanted to ship our stuff to Oslo. Does anyone know what’s the best way to do that? If anyone did it before, I’d appreciate if you could let me know how was the process and how much did it cost.

Afrika

Can I send a package to postkasse?

I am going to hike a long hike and want to send a package to myself. Some time ago when I was planning this I planned to send my package to Tyinkrysset as it's just a few km off my trail and Maps showed me a post office there, but now when I want to send it it seems there is there's no post office but only some "postkasse" and apparently I cant have a package sent there. I wrongly thought that I can just send a package poste restante to any Posten venue but Posten seems to have several different sorts of post offices/package machines and I am confused about the system now. So what is postkasse? Is there any way I can receive a package in Tyinkrysset without living there?

Thank you for yoir advices 🙏

(I am sending it from Norway, not from abroad.)

Do I need to have translated prescription when traveling through Oslo Gardermoen?

In some time I am going from Poland (citizen) to Norway for over a week, which means I need to take my thyroid medicine with me. It’s only an artificial hormone, nothing else.

I will have it in original packaging, but should I also get the prescription translated to English for airport control or is it not necessary? I won’t be buying the meds in Norway anyway.

Thanks in advance for help !

Mountainbiking in Norway!

Hi guys!

I’m heading over to Norway soon and will be based pretty close to Stavanger. I’m dying to get out and see some of that incredible Norwegian nature from the saddle, but I’m struggling a bit to find the right spots.

I’ve got a car and I’m definitely willing to drive a couple of hours to get to the good stuff. Since I ride both enduro and DH back home, I’m not afraid of a technical climb or some rowdy natural sections – rocks, roots, the whole deal.

That said, for this trip, I’m not really looking for bikepark laps. I’m chasing that raw "all-mountain" experience where you really earn the view. Does anyone have any favorite trails or mountain areas within a 2-hour drive that are worth the effort?

Any tips on where to look or who to talk to would be a huge help. Thanks in advance!

Norway - Brazil in Paris

Hello ancestors. We’re an Icelandic couple visiting Paris, and we’re really excited for tonight’s match. Are there any Norwegians here in Paris who are just as excited? Is there a place where you’re all gathering to watch the game together? We’d love to join you and watch the match with fellow fans
