Boat Trailer help!

Finally after 2 flips I think we found the perfect fit for the family? It’s been a journey but really happy- where I ended up- $1000 for a clean no leaks solid 2006 tracker super guide w a McClain trailer, absolutely love it. When I bought it the guy told me he added that arm and pad. But I thought that pad was supposed to go under the eye. Not sure if I should chop it off and reweld or just buy a bolt on. Or just leave it. Any input help! I feel like it’s not even touching the pad honestly and it does make it hard to load sometimes at steep ramps.

Photos are front ratchet and pad assembly, under bunks, the read shot, ignore the wires I’m adding some stuff on!! But you can see it sits pretty flush?!

Thoughts on this

93 1448 alweld with Honda gx620 go devil long tail - for $1500? I have a real concern about what looks like a patch that’s failing it said it has gator glide on it so not sure if the repair would be a pain or not

Hull repairs

I have a question about the bottom of this hull not sure if anyone can help - basically there’s this 93 1448 alweld, with a Honda gx620 go devil long tail. The motor runs greats, clean oil new work plugs I steal. But the hull is a bit rough. It was coated with gator glide by the first owner maybe sometime during 90’s- 2010’s.
So there some spots flaking maybe 1% of the total coat maybe less. But there’s a spot in the middle where they may be an older welded repair, and it may be failing not sure if it could be worth it as an easy fix or having to find someone to pay. Total cost is $1500, boat trailer and motor.
