Cartier Tank Louis 78086 Paris Dial – Original Dial or Refinished?
Considering buying this Cartier Tank Louis ref. 78086 with Paris dial and manual movement.
I’m trying to determine whether the dial appears original/unrestored. One thing I noticed is that it does not seem to have the hidden Cartier signature in the VII numeral, while many examples online do. However, I’ve also found some older Paris dial examples without it.
Does this dial look correct for the reference/era to you guys? Any thoughts on originality, possible refinishing, or other details I should pay attention to?
