We all know by now how "well" the controller launch went. I somehow managed to score one (tho i won't rest easy until I know for a fact it has been shipped), but that's only thanks to the fact I ordered 1 minute before the release window. Highly doubt I'd have the same luck with the Frame.

Do you guys think Valve will learn from this launch and ensure a smoother experience somehow (perhaps pre-order registration like the Deck, tho I wasn't there when that launched so not sure how effective it was)? My main concern is the supply shortage, as the controller will be back in stock within 3-5 days I bet, but the Frame will have trouble. Really don't want to feed the stupid scalpers, and under normal circumstances I would never, but god knows when the frame will be back in stock after the initial release batch... could take months.

This entire situation is effed, to say the least, and very distressing. All I want is a VR headset to escape the dystopia we live in, and can't even have that anymore..

A bit of background first: I used to own several iphones in the past: the 3GS, 4S and 5S, and had jailbroken all of them, but have been pretty much out of the loop on anything apple or jailbreaking since 2017 when I got my first Android.

These days, I feel very nostalgic for the old days and would like to get an iPhone 5 and experiment with iOS 6 (jailbroken ofc, like the good old days). I've seen numerous videos on YouTube doing just that and proving it is possible to make the thing work and usable in 2026, whilst also downgrading it to iOS 6. However, I am confused...

Most videos I've seen seem to use exclusively Mac, and tools that only work on Mac. I wanted to ask if there's any way to downgrade and jailbreak the thing on Windows? I don't have a Mac and don't really plan on getting one just for this, and I don't want to waste money on a device I won't even use (the whole point would be to use iOS 6 on it). Most if not all iPhones I can find definitely run iOS 10.

Alternatively, if you know of any iPhone 5's currently being sold with iOS 6 out of the box, I could be down with buying those (though the only listings I could find are in the US, so shipping costs would be insane).

Do you guys think the Steam Controller will have scalping issues? Seems like Valve are skipping pre-orders. I already transferred 100 euro to my steam wallet in advance to make checkout quicker, and plan to start refreshing the page a minute before release, but I am terrified it will get sold out immediately.

Any tips on how to ensure I can get one reliably? I especially hope the Frame will have the same pre-order system as the Deck in place, since I REALLY want the Frame, controller I can live without but will try to get anyway, good test run in case there won't be pre-orders for the Frame either.
