I’m watching the Spirit Airlines 2.0 situation unfold and it’s honestly blowing my mind how fast things are shifting toward the "little guy." A TikToker basically proposed buying a dead airline as a joke, and in just a few days, over 247,000 people pledged $214 million to actually try and make it happen. It’s crazy to me because while the government and big-name politicians were debating a $500 million bailout that eventually fell through, a random tiktok community almost raised half that amount in a weekend. We are literally watching a potential new wave of crowdfunding ideas where random online communities can pitch in, gain actual ownership and a say in these companies. Whether Spirit is revamped or not, this feels like a total glitch in the system that proves we’re moving toward a future where people are going to start moving in packs.
The 2026 IPO calendar is stacked with heavyweights like SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Chime. After the X-Energy heat, I think the second half of the year will be a historic test for high-growth tech valuations.
Which 2026 IPO are you most excited for, and which one do you think is the most overrated?
I'm personally leaning on SpaceX. They essentially own the rocket industry. While others fight over AI code, SpaceX has hardware in the sky and zero real competition, making it feel way safer than a "hype-only" stock.

I'm a 19 year old with with no experience trading or investing. I have a $1000 to my name and I want to start investing it. I'm intrigued by dub app's copytrading feature and was curious to know which investor/trader you would copy if you were in my position?
