i’ve had chime for about a year now but for the past couple months i’ve been having a very strange issue where i’m being charged for subscriptions i don’t have.
first it was crunchyroll. i had an account in high school that i never paid for i always used the free version but randomly one day i got charged $13.99 for a subscription. i disputed the charge and got a new card and chime sent an email apologizing and saying it was an error on their end. then two weeks later it happened again. i disputed again and got a new card then a month later it happened again. i called chime, explained the situation, disputed, and got ANOTHER card. two weeks later, i was charged again. i went to crunchyroll and they said my card was linked to a subscription but they cancelled it. this was a month ago.
today (5 minutes ago) i was charged for a subscription to “paddle.net splashin” and i don’t even know what the hell that is. the charge says it’s a streaming service called “splash in”. never heard of it. i just paid $20 for something i’ve never heard of.
is anyone else having this issue? i’m about ready to launch a full blown investigation, hire lawyers, and sue someone’s booty off cuz my card info keeps getting stolen or leaked somehow. i’m so tired of getting a new card every month because my account/card information is not safe. i really just wanna know if this is just a me problem or if it’s a chime problem.
