25/26 Econ bakery is officially shut
Goodbye UCAS, it has not been a pleasure. The Econ bakery is closed for the year and it appears the baker left the oven on and set the store on fire.
Stats:
4A* Predicted (Maths, FM, Econ, Geog)
TMUA 4.4
9988888666 GCSEs
To anyone thinking of applying to any of these courses next year:
Somehow had tumbleweed from UCAS for months and months and get the double whammy of LSE and Warwick in the same 24h, so permanent beef with LSE for the unholy edge of reply 6 months later. Warwick are weirdos, took way too long (longer than LSE??) for the level of prestige they have, and idek what to think about a PPE alternative offer, I think it’s a good course? Wouldn’t know tbh. Bath and I have even more permanent beef than LSE because at least the LSE rejection was expected. Not sure where the ego came from and someone could’ve warned me that they were the final boss of admissions before I applied to them as my ONLY safety. KCL was always a weird one so never really knew what to expect. The course honestly doesn’t seem that good though apart from the location, the uni doesn’t even have an econ department. UCL you’re my saviours, best course in the country fr.
Offers:
UCL - A*AA with an A* in maths
Warwick - PPE offer [will put grades when ucas updates]
No safety left so I better make the grades. Means Warwick PPE might actually be a blessing in disguise as they look to be more lenient on missed grades incase all goes tits up. Thanks for nothing ucas, you won’t be remembered fondly 🫶🫶🫶
Oh and shoutout the LSE mice meme guy you will be remembered fondly ❤️
Edit: I should mention the sub has unironically been the best thing about the cycle. Never saw myself as a poster but we’ve ended up with multiple drunk Reddit posts and a lot of shite advice given. Thanks to everyone always ready to help people out and best of luck to the lot of you!
