Basically the title. Me (20M) and fiancé (19F) will be married May ‘27 and living in a MCOL area in NC.

No student loan debt, currently have ~60k saved in brokerage accounts and another 120k in a 529. We will need to buy a car after graduating. Credit is in mid to high 700s.

I will be working as a financial planner and her as an elementary school teacher starting Aug ‘27. We can’t decide between starting in a home or apartment with rates as they are currently (5-7%). Apartments seem to be around $1200-1500/mo for our area. Better to rent and save for a bigger down payment or go ahead and pull the trigger? Thank you!
