what’s his collar patch mean?

hi guys, this is a photo of my great great grandfather. he was born in 1905 in berlin. i believe my oma told me that he was in the military, but it may have been some other form of service or entirely different. i’m not too sure, and have really struggled to find any genealogical records about this side of my family. anywho, i’d really appreciate it if someone could help me identify what these collar patches mean. tia :)

2011 Sonata P1326 Code

Bought my car a year ago. It threw me into limp mode, gave me the P1326 code. I found out about the extended warranty for this problem, reached out to a dealership and brought it in. They just got back to me that they denied the free engine because of the age & mileage of my vehicle (I think it's somewhere between 150k-160k). They offered to buy my vehicle back or to replace the engine at a reduced rate. What exactly should I do from here?

Edit to add: My car did have the KSDS update installed a few years back.
