Support affordable housing in Pasadena!

Support affordable housing in Pasadena!

Hey r/LAHousing — do you need affordable housing in LA?

Well..

There's a 100% affordable housing project in Pasadena called Rosemead Family Apartments — 133 homes for working families, special needs residents, and families displaced by the Eaton Fire — that is facing serious threats and opposition by local NIMBY residents.

The project goes for a final vote before City Council on Monday, May 18th, and there's a real chance it gets rejected if we don't show up to defend it.

Here's two ways to help:

  1. Show up in person — May 18th @ 5:00 PM | Pasadena City Hall, Council Chamber Room S249. Public comment goes a long way.
  2. Send a support letter to the City Council (takes 2 min): https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-pasadena-city-council-we-need-more-affordable-housing/

Happy to answer any questions about the project in the comments.
