Room for Rent!

Hello!

I have a room becoming available in July near Retro Row.

$1400 rent + WiFi and utilities. $1175 deposit. Large private bedroom with large closet, private bathroom, and yes - private parking! A single little locking garage just for this unit and yours truly ~doesn’t have a car~

The overall unit is 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and I prefer to keep the guest room empty for storage and extra space and privacy between the occupied rooms. The unit also has a lot of outdoor patio and deck space.
Sadly, my dog is reactive so he can be the only dog but is great with cats with proper introductions.

About me:

I’m a 33 year old queer woman and I work 40hrs a week. I spend my free time quietly working on art projects or hanging out with my 80lb pitbull. I don’t drink but I’m very 4/20 friendly and partake throughout the day (outside).

Also: Fuck Trump, abolish ICE, Free Palestine, fuck Zionism and anything affiliated with white nationalist propaganda.

The ideal roommate:

Is LGBTQIA+ / ally
Has full time job (proof of employment needed for landlord)
Is not a heavy drinker/partier
Loves dogs
Cleans up after themselves

I’ve been in this spot for almost a decade and have built a great relationship with management so it’s important for me to find someone who is chill, responsible, and can commit to at least 6mo but ideally this would be more long term.

Thanks for reading all of that!

Private Bedroom in 3BR/1BTH HOUSE available, with laundry onsite and a backyard!

Hello! I am about to move into a 3 bedroom/1bathroom house that my former boss is renting to me, and am looking for rent out one of the other rooms. The rent would be 1300/month plus utilities, small deposit required to secure the room (learned my lesson there 😅) but that deposit will be part of that 1300 for your first month, not extra costs.

I’m a 32year old male, drag queen, cat owner, and stoner. If any of that is an issue, probably not a good fit! I also just moved in myself, so forgive the lack of consistency in my photos!

My best friend from high school back home is moving up here in August to take the 3rd bedroom, so the first couple of months we would split the Internet/bills between just the two of us, and then eventually between all three of us when he arrives!

There is a dishwasher in the kitchen, laundry machines in the garage, and hoses out front and back. There is also in fact, a beautiful backyard that you can see the skyline of DTLA from! The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, with stores open within walking distance.

Totally open to one more pet in the house either dog or cat, I’m wary of really big dogs (I’ve lived with them before) but if they’re really calm then I could work with that!

Great location in the SGV, with quick highway access to Hollywood, Glendale, Highland Park, etc in that area!

Reach out if you have any questions, hope to hear from you soon!

ROOMMATE WANTED — LA FOOTHILLS

3 Bedroom / 2 Bath • House Under Construction • Free Rent in Exchange for Skilled Labor

Gonna take a deep breath and throw this out there:

I have a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home in the foothills of Los Angeles that is currently under construction. I have full architectural plans for the kitchen and one bathroom, plus other smaller projects, and I can cover all materials costs — but after being burned by a contractor, I no longer have the budget for labor.

In exchange for skilled help with installation on weekends or your free time, I’m offering a rent-free room in a home in a truly beautiful area, in an insanely expensive rental market.

What’s involved: Kitchen installation (architectural plans already drawn); One bathroom remodel (architectural plans already drawn); other miscellaneous projects; All materials paid for by me; Work schedule to be agreed upon together — weekends or free time; Work must be done safely and to a high standard — quality and safety do matter to me

This arrangement could be an ideal fit for:

A soon-to-be licensed contractor or tradesperson looking for hands-on reps

An architecture or engineering student wanting real-world project experience

An experienced DIYer with a track record of solid, safe work who needs affordable housing

You don’t need to be a licensed professional — but you do need to know what you’re doing, work safely, and take the projects seriously.

About Me I’m a working professional and creative. I’m particular about my home but generally pretty easy to live with — social, laid-back, and respectful of personal space. Shoes come off at the door, and I love a clean, tidy house. Dishes in the sink overnight? No big deal. Multiple nights in a row? That’s where I start to twitch.

I have a cat who is very social and easy-going with people — but has strong feelings about dogs. So as much as I love them, no dogs in the house. (Sorry)

I welcome: Any race/ethnicity, gender identity or sexual orientation; social cats, fish, small caged animals (that can tolerate a very nosey cat); Occasional guests and a social lifestyle

Not a fit: Smokers (indoors or on the property), Hard drug users; Dogs (the cat has spoken); Anyone unable to commit to a realistic project timeline

If this is of interest to you, let’s talk. Send me a message introducing yourself and we can go from there.

I get this is an unorthodox post, but serious inquiries only please, and don’t be a d*ck if you have big feelings or opinions about this ask. I’m just out here tryna figure this all out, too.

Places Between UCLA and Culver City

Hi everyone,

I'm starting work in Culver City in August and my roommate is going to grad school at UCLA. We are thinking of finding a 2B2B (ideally) in a bikable distance from UCLA and less than 25-minute (ideally less than 20) drive from Culver City (Fox Hills neighborhood) in rush hour traffic. Would like to keep it under $1500 per person (so like $3000 per month) but flexible - any recommendations for places/ specific apartments to look into?

EITHER room for rent in 2bdrm in Midtown near Sutter’s Fort! Smaller room $925/larger room $1,065!

Hello! My name is Kiana and I am a 31 year old working full time night shifts here in Sacramento! My absolutely lovely bestie and roommate is sadly moving out so I need to find her replacement, ideally to move in on June 1st! Lease is MONTH TO MONTH. You can rent EITHER the smaller room I am currently in for $925/month or the larger room with a walk in closet & direct access to backyard area for $1,065/month! I’ll either stay in the room I am currently in or move to the bigger room! Utilities are Xfinity, PGE and SMUD. The apartment is a charming unit in a great part of Midtown near Sutter’s Fort! I am currently slowly working on redecorating the place but these are the best pics that I currently have as a work in progress, some of these items will be replaced! Barring current photos of the larger room as my friend is working on gathering her things to move out, I have attached photos of both rooms taken previously (smaller room is 1st photo, larger room 2nd photo)

We have a full kitchen, fireplace and our own backyard area. Shared bathroom. Unfortunately, there is no laundry in the building as it’s older, but the laundromat is literally just a couple blocks away. NO PETS, landlords rules:( If you’re respectful of a shared space, friendly and a woman, I would love to chat and see if it would be a good fit! I usually schedule a video call or even in person showing of the apartment as a next step. Thanks!!

Is this a realistic ISO?

Hi hi, I’m currently ISO an apartment / condo / whatever in this area of Hollywood and I’m curious to know if y’all think my “asks” are reasonable.

Budget $2300
Preferably 700+ sq ft
1 bed 1 bath
In-unit Washer Dryer

I can’t seem to find many units (on Apartments.com) that meet all 4 of those asks. Am I being delusional here? Thank you! Open to any other sites or suggestions ppl may have as well
