Daniel / morpheous Dream of the endless
I recently watched a vedio by comics explained , explaining the rise of darkest knight , dark villiain version of batman with powers of dr manhattan he killed perpetua the mother of multiverse and absorbed her crisis energy and its a very big thing . The main plot was that batman who laughs who later became darkest knight messes with our multiverse by absorbing the power from dark multiverse . Now dark multiverse is a place where incomplete stories and universes and plots go to rot away in themselves . He was manipulating its energy to get stronger . And if you notice a place of stories and possibilities it comes under dreaming the property of DREAM of the endless . And daniel who is currently the dream shows up and warns batman and kinda give him a loophole to escape if things go bad . This all happened because daniel is very much bound to rules. He can't help mortals and all . Had this been our old og dreamlord lord morpheous . He would have absorbed all dark energy and slaped batman for being stupid and doing this . The only reason this storyline exist is because morpheous died otherwise because morpheous does not just embody dreaming but rules it as a sovereign ruler , he has a legendry ego and arrogance . The momoent he would have realised somebody is trespassing in his property the dreaming . He would have done batman so bad his generations would cry . Remember this is the same dude who put a person in eternal sleep with infinite nightmares to never wake up from . So yeah daniel is a rule bound concept whereas morpheous is the ruler of dreaming the true dreamlord
