Recruiter negative experience - Toronto Jobs

I recently interviewed with TP Midtown Toronto and unfortunately did not have a positive candidate experience with the Talent Acquisition, Ra Ez.

As someone with a background in Talent Acquisition, I value professionalism, active listening, and respectful communication during interviews. Throughout the interview, I felt frequently interrupted while answering questions, and the recruiter’s tone and facial expressions came across as dismissive and unprofessional to me. As someone who also works in Talent Acquisition, I personally value respectful communication and active listening during interviews, so the overall experience left a negative impression.

One part of the conversation that stood out to me was being asked whether I was on a student visa without first confirming my work authorization status, despite being a Canadian citizen. While I understand recruiters need to verify eligibility, the approach made me feel uncomfortable.

Recruiters are often the first point of contact and front-line representatives of a company, so the interview experience can strongly shape a candidate’s perception of the organization. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect the level of professionalism and candidate care I personally value in a workplace.

Although I was not selected (very much glad with that), I appreciated the opportunity to interview and it helped me realize the company is not the right fit for me. I hope future candidates have a more positive experience. Btw i don't recommended working for this company as most of the reviews from google they also have similar experience as recruiter not being professional.
