Little context/background. Me F25 and him M27, I have been friends for around four years with nothing going on.
Around seven months ago, we became close and started spending a lot of time together. He would sacrifice a lot of his time effort and energy for me. I would always prioritise my happiness and safety help me with anything. Even financially provided.
Issue was, he’s very shy with girls and he never blatantly expressed interest in me however it showed the opposite in actions.
I always ignore these advances as he had a long-term distant girlfriend that he had never met. And I was trying to be respectful of this.
Anyway, anyways, now they’ve met and he is completely cold to me, avoids me, is emotionally distant from me, dosent provide for me any more, won’t even answer the phone to me but we see each other maybe 1x a week for work stuff. Almost to the point, it’s cruel. Overnight he basically just shot me off entirely.
Whilst I am respecting this, I can’t help but wonder why he never told me he liked me? Because to be honest, most men wouldn’t do this for just a friend.
