My great grandmother was either black paw or Blackfoot and I have been trying to trace her and see if I have any family and learn more about her and our ancestors but the problem I’m encountering is that by the time she passed, she no longer remembered her birth name, only the “Christian name” she was given when she was “bought” (stolen) from her people at age 13 to be forced to marry my great grandfather. It hurts that I can’t connect to her because I can’t find her name or her history and I’m just wondering if anyone has any suggestions?
