Please help me recover from oral shingles post tonsillectomy
Hi, my name is Amber, and I’m starting this fundraiser because I’m currently recovering from mouth and throat shingles, also known as oral shingles. This was triggered after my immune system was weakened following my bilateral tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy on April 6th. I am now being treated for the virus, but I’m at the peak of the attack, and it has been incredibly painful. Oral shingles affects the nerves in the mouth and throat, making my gums, tongue, and throat feel especially raw and painful. Even with treatment, some of the side effects may not fully go away for up to five weeks.
I’m doing my best to return to work and get back to normal, but this recovery has made things financially difficult. At this time, I may need a lot of rest while my body heals. The funds raised will help me afford my medical needs and keep up with my bills while I’m away from work.
