I quit my job
I was working for a medium size structural steel manufacturer in Houston. They hired me and worked me for 30 days with the compensation package we discussed roughly 90k annually. After I cleared their back log of bids I was told that my compensation deal would change to an hourly rate of 40 dollars an hour based on how long it take me to finish whatever quated they have dribble in from their 1 sales rep. Either way I tried to work things out with them and they didn't want to hear it and told me I was being childish for expecting them to hold to their end of the agreement and that I should just understand that they can't afford to keep me on full time. Now I'm not heartless to people needing to keep the lights on but I just felt that if the turn around from salary employee to basically an I'll call you when I need you guy was that quick that they always planned this to be the case and we're just trying to fuck me. But I'm open to answering any questions. Just what do you guys think. I feel like I'm not in the wrong but I just want a sanity check that I wasn't actually being childish by expecting guaranteed hours
