How are others feeling at this point? Just wanting to see where people at in recovery with having both procedures done. I’m ok but I just turned 40 and I often just cry. I wish this never happened to me and I hope going forward things get easier and the numbness in my left leg/foot come back.
Can anyone share their experience and their ways on how to ween off Vicodin after they had back surgery.

On Tuesday I had an emergency L5-S1 laminectomy and discectomy due to faint heart beat in left foot and severe foot drop. It’s been 4 days and now my calf in my left leg is super tight but also still kinda numb like as before but I barely can walk correctly cause of the tightness. It’s not hot or swollen. Obviously the numbness and foot dip is still pretty bad as well but now can wiggle my toes. What’s the chances tho that I may have developed DVT in the calf? It’s starting to scare me a bit and was considering going into the urgent care this morning.
