Can anyone share their experience and their ways on how to ween off Vicodin after they had back surgery.
Thanks

Surgery or no surgery?

I have radiating pain in both feet that is worse on my right, I get a lot of pain in my right foot on some days, less on others. I have a sensitive nerve right down my right leg that plays up a lot when walking at times and when I’ve been bending. I’ve tried everything non invasive, including injections.
MRI shows stenosis/compression at L4/5 on RH side. Surgeon has offered me a laminotamy on the right and believes it should alleviate my symptoms. I have seen a second, highly regarded surgeon for a second opinion and he agreed a good way to go.
I’ve got until Monday to say yes or no to surgery. I’ve been battling this pain 2 years now and nothing has helped. I have been able to manage it to a degree with medications, I’m on a LOT of them. I want my life back but I’m struggling so much making a final decision. It’s all become a little too real.

Would I be stupid to take the surgery?
