Going out on my own. I’m working on all the things I need to do (like PLLC, insurance etc)
My question is what tech is everyone using? I need to buy a computer setup ASAP
I will need to be able to handle AutoCAD, Sletchup, Adobe Suite + all the other PM, Office programs
Although I used to have a MacBook and loved it. But I have been in the PC/Microsoft ecosystem professionally for the last 15 years so I feel I should stay there. If for nothing else to eliminate one more variable in my first year.
First thought:
Desktop at home office for all the heavy lifting. Small (13” -ish) laptop or tablet for on site, remote work.
Just seeing what people have and how they feel about it.
